How it works
How to organize messy notes
-
Paste your notes
Drop in meeting scribbles, lecture notes, a list from your phone or text from an email. Bullets, numbers, checkboxes and plain lines all work.
-
Review what it found
To-dos, decisions, open questions and links get their own sections. Everything else stays in order under your headings, minus stray symbols and repeated lines. Tick off to-dos as you go.
-
Copy or download
Copy the result as Markdown or download a .md file, then paste it into Notion, Obsidian or any note app.
What it looks for
What the organizer picks out
Clear, predictable rules rather than AI guesswork, so the same notes always give the same result. Built for meeting notes, lecture notes, call notes and brain dumps.
To-dos
Checkboxes like [ ], lines starting with “todo:”, phrases like “need to” or “remember to”, tasks that start with a verb (“Send the deck”) and assignments like “Sam to send the deck”. Owners and due dates such as “by Friday” or “EOD” are flagged.
Decisions
Lines that start with “Decided”, “Agreed” or “Decision:”, and anything listed under a “Decisions” heading.
Open questions
Anything that ends in a question mark, starts with “Q:”, or sits under a “Questions” heading.
Links
Every web address, labelled with the text in front of it (“Deck: https://…”) and listed once, however many times you pasted it.
Tags
Your own #hashtags first, then the words that come up most often in your notes.
Structure
Headings such as “Agenda:”, “# Notes” or “NEXT STEPS” become sections, indented bullets stay nested, and a first line like “Team sync 10/9” becomes the title.
FAQ
Questions about the notes organizer
Is the notes organizer free?
Yes. Use it as often as you like, with no account, no trial and no email address.
Are my notes uploaded or stored anywhere?
No. The organizer runs entirely in your browser, so your text is never sent to Trezio or anyone else. Your draft is kept in this browser's local storage so a refresh doesn't wipe it; press Clear to remove it.
Does it use AI?
No. It follows fixed, transparent rules, so results are instant and the same notes always give the same result. If you want AI help, the Trezio app can write a summary and suggest tags for a saved note when you ask it to.
How does it decide what counts as a to-do?
It looks for checkboxes, lines that start with “todo:” or “action:”, phrases like “need to”, “remember to” and “follow up”, lines that start with a task verb such as “send”, “book” or “email”, and assignments like “Sam to send the deck”. Anything under a “Next steps” or “Action items” heading counts too.
Can I paste the result into Notion or Obsidian?
Yes. The result is standard Markdown, so headings, checkboxes and links come through when you paste it into Notion, Obsidian or most other note apps. You can also download it as a .md file.
Is there a limit on how long my notes can be?
There's no fixed limit. Everything is processed on your own device, so even long documents are organized in a moment.
How is this different from Trezio?
This tool tidies one note at a time. Trezio is where your notes live afterwards: save notes, links, screenshots and voice notes to one library, organize them with folders and tags, and search across everything. There's a free plan.
