Trezio vs Raindrop.io

Both keep your links organized. Raindrop.io is the mature, everywhere bookmark manager with a generous free plan. Trezio is a calmer library for links, notes, screenshots and voice notes, with an encrypted vault for logins. Here is where each one is stronger.

Where Raindrop wins

Where Raindrop.io is stronger

The free plan. Raindrop lets you save as many bookmarks as you like for free, with no time limit. Trezio's free plan stops at 100 items, so a big library means paying for Pro.

Keeping the page itself. Raindrop Pro saves a permanent copy of each page and searches the full text of your bookmarks, PDFs and YouTube transcripts. Trezio keeps the link, its title, description and image, and your own notes, but not the page's text. If a site disappears, Trezio cannot bring it back.

Everywhere apps. Raindrop has native apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows and Android, and extensions for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Trezio is on the web, Chrome and Android; on an iPhone you use it in Safari.

Working together. Raindrop lets several people add to a shared collection, free. Trezio's sharing is read-only for now.

Where Trezio wins

Where Trezio is stronger

More than bookmarks. Trezio keeps text notes, screenshots and voice notes in the same library as your links, with the same folders, tags and search. Voice notes can be transcribed.

Logins, kept privately. Trezio has an encrypted vault for usernames and passwords. They are encrypted on your device with AES-256, using a key made from a master password that never leaves it, so Trezio cannot read them. You can also lock any folder behind its own password.

AI without upgrading. On every Trezio plan, including the free one, you can ask for a short summary and tag suggestions for anything you save. Raindrop's AI assistant is a Pro feature.

Calm by design. Trezio saves a link the moment you press save and fills in its details in the background. There is no feed and nothing to keep up with.

Switching

How to move from Raindrop.io to Trezio

  1. Export from Raindrop

In Raindrop's web app, open Settings and export your bookmarks as HTML or CSV. Exports run in the web app, not the mobile apps.

  2. Import into Trezio

In Trezio, go to Settings, then Import, and drop the file in. Collections become folders, tags come along, and links already in your library are skipped.

  3. Check the size

The free plan imports up to 100 items. For a larger library, Pro has no limit; you can see exactly what came across before deciding.

Highlights and Raindrop's permanent page copies don't transfer. Links, titles, folders, tags and notes do.

Is Trezio free?

Yes. Trezio's free plan holds 100 items in up to 5 folders, with 1 encrypted vault, and includes AI summaries, every view mode and voice notes. Pro removes the limits and adds export and Google Drive sync for $3.70 a month, or $2.95 a month billed yearly.

Can I move my Raindrop bookmarks to Trezio?

Yes. Export your bookmarks from Raindrop's web app as HTML or CSV, then upload the file in Trezio under Settings, Import. Collections become folders and tags come with them. On the free plan, importing stops at 100 items.

Does Trezio save a copy of each page like Raindrop Pro?

Which one is better for storing passwords?

Trezio includes an encrypted vault for logins: they are encrypted on your device with AES-256 using a master password that is never sent to Trezio. You can also lock folders behind a password. Password storage is not part of Raindrop's listed features.
